A good day

what a day!
Later, I realised it had to do with our maid. After the guy left, warning us to beware our maid, we questioned her and found that she's trying to hide something. Sent her back to the agency. And there our emotions got to another height.
It turned out that the agent, who's a very pregnant lady was so so fierce when confronting our maid. Of cos we got what we needed to know and decided to send her back to Indonesia and get another maid. Then come another shock. I paid $1000 just to send the maid back and pay for the insurance and fee for the new maid. Big hole in my pocket now. "Broke" is the word.
Got home and went to my Sis-in-law's place. Was so tired that both vic and I just fell asleep at her place, one on the sofa, the other at the slain couch. Tired man.
Gone was our swimming plan bcos of this morning maid saga.
After a long night of mtg, the 3 zones celebrated my birthday for me. It came as quite a surprise cos it was at a point when I least expected. Pleasantly surprised. The ldrs reali gave me many gifts and their heart-felt wishes that reali moved my heart. But a bit lost that at that time as pastor wasn't around to pray for me. Anyway, I requested for prayer still and Simon, together with the rest, prayed for me. Nothing means more than that.
The clock has passed twelve, and it's after our supper. Then we got an SMS informin us of mtg tmr! Well, pastor, Wenling, simon, vic and I had taken leave to go sentosa to celebrate my birthday! In short, gone is my sentosa, sun, beach and bikini celebration. So sad.
But it's fine. I'm just so blessed to have friends and comrades like these. Feel so loved. Especially, the words on the cards by the leaders. I knw those were not just standard phrases you say to assure pp. Thanks. I feel so humbled by it all.
It's a great joy to love God and serve God together with you. Thanks all. Love you lots.
P.s. Photos coming soon.

Shanghai 2008 (Apr 30 - May 7)
Vic & I headed to Shanghai on Apr 30 with Karen, Quanli, Ziying & Andrew. The first day in Shanghai started off as TIRING after the 5-hr flight.
And the next few days were also tiring cos we were out whole day shopping and lazing ard. I took alot of photos. Some are rather hilarious. I will blog more abt it when I have time. Meanwhile, let the photos speak on my behalf. :)
The last day of the trip ended TIRING as well. Took a flight at 0010hrs and reach Singapore at 0525hrs. WAITED till 0600hrs to take the cab without the midnight charge. Had a not so nice exchange with the 1st cab driver and then finally travelled back in the 2nd cab.
Took a 2hr-nap and woke up to do work. But still it was a good 7-day holiday. :)

yey!
I am so satisfied and happy with myself! HAHA.
After reading Xiang's blog on how she is de-cluttering her house for its intended purpose and vision, I was slightly motivated to de-clutter HALF of my wardrobe. HA. But just now, I read her progress and I decided to do something productive today. So I de-cluttered the other half of my wardrobe, packed and clear the stuff on my shelf and Vic's shelf in our room. Then I cleared a cupboard in my living room. Wa. Soooo good...
The originally messy and packed cupboard is now neat and cleared. Some of the things that were thrown away: plastic flowers which my FIL had no idea who it belongs.2 rolls of dusty gift wrappers. bits of papers with numbers and no names. cards. etc etc etc. Can't even remember liao. We even discovered some stuff that were kept away and we had never known its existence: Weighing scale, lock, 14100 Indonesian rupiah in an Ang Bao!
Vic commented:"You mean the messy and packed cupboard is all useless stuff ah?!" In the end, half of it is dominated by my books now. And there is still lots of space left! YEY!
SATISFACTION! HAHA.
If you are interested in de-cluttering your rooms, read http://siangzi.multiply.com/journal/item/15. Enjoy!
Ok. Going to my parents' hse now.

Random Entry
We had CG game. And it was the modified "action heart attack". These 3 boys really very cham. They are always the last few to follow the action. So they had many rubberbands on their head. They are so funny.
O! What's that?!! It's an angel???
No la... It's just me... After OPM, I slept for 4 hours and woke up to rebond my hair... Well, besides, Vic oso can't stand my curly oily hair. HAHA. So he purposely woke up at 10am to call the neighbourhood salon for me. And he got me to wake up and go do my hair. I was TIRED man... And obviously BORED...
The Final Product. :)
The family went out for dinner and thereafter a game of bowling and pool.
Everybody was so high and bragging about their skills... And boy, we had a good laugh when all the "long gang" balls happen... HEHE.
Choosing balls and discussing and teasing each other... Aiyo...
Went back to my parents' place. From the point we stepped into the house, Keighley cried non-stop. I thk Vic and I scare her. But she finally smiled at us... So sweet...
O I muz mention this.. I reali thk the way she smile and cry resembles my dad. HAHA.
After reading that Isaiah has the different cubes, I was determined to find out how to solve it man!!! So, today i solved the rubik's cube!!!!!!!!!!!!! MUahhhhhh!!!!!

First Day of CNY
Now, the family is playing Mahjong. They are so fast, I totally "lia bo kiu" even though I sat there for like 30min or more trying to decode. And I thk Vic is made rather impatient by all my questioning... Haha. And can you see Vic "lao cui nua" as he watches the ladies play. Anyway, now I am bored and trying to upload some photos that I didn't get to do for last 2wks.
Some photos I took on Monday when the leaders went Chinatown with Pastor YK and family.
It's quite a tradition for Pastor and us to visit Chinatown a few times before CNY. But this year I only went Chinatown once, but of course, Pst went for abt 5times oreadi. Haha. Anyway, in the 3rd picture above, you can see that Pst is choosing his small "ju zi". It's a must-buy for him each year. Vic and Pst are always very excited abt CNY. VERY EXCITED, i must emphasize. :)
O ya. Last 2 wks or something, we had CG games and these are some pictures.
The top left pic: It's Dennis and Adam's forfeit. Dennis is doing pole-dancing on Adam. HA!
The rest of the pics: We played a simple game... "Hi, my name is Henry. Nice to meet you. What's your name?" "Hi, Henry. My name is Henry. Nice to meet you too." And see the post-its on their faces. We are so bad at it... Aiyo...
O ya. Some of the gals went to a makeup session with Cindy. Meiyan, Sheryl, Xiaoting, Pauline and I were learning intensively for 3hrs plus... Wa. I dunno abt the rest but for me I find it rather enriching. Pauline is not found in any pic cos she was too shy to show the "scary" makeup that we drew on ourselves. HAHA.
Ok. Lastly...
This is rather "bo liao". We were walking on the bridge linking 2 places and it's the first time i was on it. So I decided to take a photo. We were actually rushing from Nick's wedding to the leaders appreciation dinner.
Ok. I am finding myself very very very bo liao now. My throat is a bit sore from all the new year goodies. I can feel that I am falling sick. But I hope I won't.
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! GONG XI FA CHAI!

I'm still not ready
Hmmm... Just a "hook" to make you read my blog entry. Ha! But then, not exactly irrelevant tho... I'm not ready as in... not ready to blog abt my year-end thanksgiving and new year resolutions.
Today, the cousins came over to play boggle. It was reali intense... Everytime, they do something, they are reali into it man...
And I just realised today that the cousins are reading my blog!! They are probably reading this entry now. (Hi cousins!!) Hee.
Pst Tan preached a tremendous sermon.
One of the illustrations that reali GOT me:
A lecturer took out a huge jar in the class. And he put in rocks into the jar as much as he could and he asked the class, "is the jar full?" The class answered, "Yes." Then he took out a pack of small gravels and started pouring in as much as he could. And then asked the class, "Is the jar full?" Knowing that the lecturer has something up his sleeves, the class replied cautiously, "It's quite full, but there is still space." Pleased, the lecturer took out a pack of sand and started pouring again till the jar could not take in anymore sand. He asked the question again and the class replied in like-manner. Then he took out a jug of water and pour it into the jar till it's full. Then he asked the class, "What can you learn from this?" One of the students stood up and answered confidently, "No matter how packed your schedule is, there is always a way to squeeze in more things." The class broke out into laughters. And the lecturer replied, "No. This is to tell you that, in life if you don't put in the big rocks first, at the end of the day, you will never be able to put them in anymore."
In life, if you don't put in the big rocks FIRST, before everything else, you will never be able to put them in anymore at the end of the day. Sometimes, we neglect our loved ones so much because of work, our ambition, etc, that at the end we realised we will never have the chance again to "squeeze" our loved ones into our schedule anymore. Not just talking about our loved ones, but also about what is actually more important in life. Things such as our relationship with God, our values, our convictions & our character.
So much to say... I am so impacted by this illustration. I couldn't get it off my mind and heart. Throughout the entire svc, thoughts went through my mind. Maybe it's time for me to move on. I need a confirmation. Can't be rash again.
